A Message from our new Captain Andreas Petrakas

It’s with immense pride and gratitude that I introduce myself as the newly appointed captain of our golf society. It is a genuine honour to take on this role, and I look forward to the season ahead with great anticipation. Playing with many of our members as a child is what first got me into the game, and those memories are something I will always cherish. I’m excited to lead us through what I’m sure will be another year of fantastic society days and a memorable away trip, filled with great golf and even better company. I can’t wait to see you all out on the course.

St Mary’s Cup 2025

Competition Final Numbers. With our numbers regularly over 40, golf clubs are insisting we confirm final numbers at least a week before we play. Andreas Petrakas will be sending you all individual text messages 2 weeks before each competition, please help us by replying promptly to confirm your place, if you are bringing any guests and if you have any other requirements.

Payment. Please ensure you pay before you play.

Speed Of Play Guidance

With our numbers regularly reaching 50 players and above it is important that every player plays their part to keep the game moving and give consideration to our friends at the back of the field.

Next to handicapping and rules, the pace of play has been a topic of conversation for a long time. We should be able to complete 4 ball play between 4 hours at the front of the group and 4 hours 30 minutes at the back. That’s 15 minutes per hole. Rounds approaching 6 hours, as happened at St Mellion, are unacceptable.
